Manages women's services activities, workflow and nursing resources. This role involves collecting and analyzing health data to develop and implement individualized plans of care for women and newborns, coordinating care delivery, employing health teaching strategies, and evaluating progress towards expected outcomes. The nurse will make ethical decisions, practice in a culturally sensitive manner, and communicate/collaborate with various stakeholders. The position also requires serving as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor, while continuously acquiring and maintaining knowledge in evidence-based nursing practice. The nurse will generate and integrate evidence to improve care, evaluate their own and others' nursing practice, and consider resource factors for safe, effective, and fiscally responsible care. Practice must be in an environmentally safe and healthy manner, applying evidence-based practice to meet age-specific and clinical needs. The role requires constant alertness and safe performance, with other duties as assigned.
