Registered Nurse – Utilization Management
About The Position
Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse – Utilization Management for a client in Hampton, Virginia. This is a temporary contract assignment in a military healthcare setting. The nurse provides support for utilization management activities, coordinates with healthcare staff and other facilities, and helps beneficiaries understand plans of action and available healthcare benefits. The position also supports patient and family education and requires accurate documentation, confidentiality, safety, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The posting lists the duration as “1 open 5 Years.”
Requirements
- RN license.
- BLS certificate.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

- Relevant experience in utilization management, care coordination, clinical nursing, or a related healthcare setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support for utilization management activities in a military healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and other healthcare facilities to support patient care.
- Assist with coordinating referral appointments and healthcare services.
- Serve as a point of contact between healthcare staff and beneficiaries regarding plans of action and available healthcare benefits.
- Support patient and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable healthcare policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate appropriate patient care and services.
- Follow Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality, and safety.
