Registered Nurse-Urology-Ambulatory Triage
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Urology Ambulatory Clinic, focusing on Triage. The role involves delivering timely, patient-centered care through clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient education. The clinic serves a diverse urology patient population and is staffed by a collaborative team of 4 surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Responsibilities include telephone triage, patient rooming, and supporting provider and nurse-led visits. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a predictable schedule and excellent work-life balance in an ambulatory setting. Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Minimum of one year of RN experience
- Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
- Ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner
- Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
- Two years experience in an ambulatory setting
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
