About The Position

Passport Health is North America's largest travel medicine and immunization provider, with 300+ clinics across the U.S. and Canada. We're looking for experienced RNs who are ready to step out of a high-pressure hospital or traditional clinic setting and into a role built around autonomy, specialized expertise, and genuine one-on-one patient connection. Most of our nurses work independently — no charge nurse, no team overhead, no endless task lists. You manage your day by seeing your clients and providing them with the best experience possible. You will be supported by a network of clinical leadership, but the day-to-day is yours. Travel medicine is a specialty. You'll develop deep expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases, international health risks, and pre-travel health planning — knowledge most nurses never get to build. Every client interaction is a true consultation, not a check-the-box encounter. Current Opening Details Location(s): Lakewood, CO and S. Lakewood, CO Employment Type: Part-Time, with potential opportunity for Full-Time if interested Compensation: Starting at $41.00/hr Weekly Hours & Schedule: 24 hours/week Various Passport Health locations support immigration-related medical services, including civil surgeon exams and required vaccinations for USCIS applicants. At these clinics, performing immigration physicals and maintaining strict USCIS documentation compliance is a required part of the role. Training is provided, but attention to detail and comfort with regulated documentation workflows is essential. Passport Health uses a census-based scheduling model, similar to what you may have seen in hospital or outpatient settings. We want you going in with realistic expectations. The nurses who thrive here are those who value the trade-off: less rigidity, more autonomy, and the ability to build a schedule that works for their life and for the business needs, even if that means some week-to-week variability. Here's what that means in practice: Hours are based on client demand, which varies by location and season. We create schedules that offer 6–12 months of consistency, helping provide stability while recognizing that hours are not guaranteed in some markets. We do our best to build schedules around your availability and clinic needs. Part-Time nurses are encouraged to apply even if they are interested in taking on additional hours when available. Nurses interested in Full-Time hours may be considered based on their availability and the scheduling needs of the Cherry Creek and LoDo clinics. Working across both Cherry Creek and LoDo may provide additional opportunities for hours and scheduling flexibility. Flexibility with preferred days/times, weekend coverage, or willingness to work across both locations can increase your scheduled hours. Peak travel seasons (typically February–August) generally bring higher and more stable volume.

Requirements

Active RN license in good standing
Compact (multistate) RN licensure accepted — you must legally reside in the state where you are licensed and providing care
3+ years of clinical nursing experience
Comfortable working independently — you won't always have backup in the clinic
Strong patient communication and education skills
Reliable access to a personal computer (training systems require desktop or laptop)
Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet)
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed (up to 25 lbs)

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth travel health consultations and educate clients on destination-specific risks
Administer vaccines per standing orders and monitor for adverse reactions
Recommend and promote travel health products and medications as clinically appropriate
Manage clinic setup, inventory, and compliance with safety and documentation protocols
Support onsite corporate wellness or vaccine clinic events as needed
Complete ongoing travel medicine training — we invest in keeping your clinical knowledge current
Performing immigration physicals and maintaining strict USCIS documentation compliance is a required part of the role.
