Candidate will be cross-trained in all aspects of obstetrical care within The Birthing Suite. You will work alongside a well-established OB/GYN and pediatric group in a collaborative team environment. This is a per diem position in The Birthing Suite at Monadnock Community Hospital.

Requirements

  • Maintenance of confidential information.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
  • Hold a valid nursing degree from an accredited institution and maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • NRP and STABLE certifications required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous OB nursing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Baccalaureate in nursing strongly preferred.
  • Certification in specialty strongly preferred.
  • Candidates may acquire these skills through on-the-job training

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
  • Offer emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care.
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
