About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in a telemetry unit. The role requires experience in the Medical/Surgical setting with cardiac monitoring. It is a small, rural facility where the nurse must be able to work independently. The patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric, with an RN/Patient Ratio of 5:1, potentially higher acuity patients at 3:1 or 4:1. This position is available for both day and night shifts. Call and Call-Back are not applicable.

Requirements

• 3+ years PCU, Med/Surg, Tele experience
• Telemetry experience
• Basic dysrhythmia test
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Nice To Haves

• Rural experience preferred
• Previous travel experience
• Rural/small facility experience

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac monitoring.
• Work independently.
• Care for patients from newborn to geriatric.
• Manage a patient load of 5:1, or 3:1-4:1 for higher acuity PCU patients.
