About The Position

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Ambulatory ENT (Otolaryngology) Team Lead Nursing Role. Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Ambulatory ENT practice is a highly specialized surgical and procedural department focused on comprehensive care across Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastics, Audiology, and Speech Language Pathology. This dynamic clinic supports a wide range of complex patient needs, from routine ENT concerns to advanced surgical care and in-clinic procedures. The practice currently includes 36 clinic rooms and a dedicated procedural (C-op) space to support more advanced in-office interventions. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Requirements

Graduate of a Baccalaureate degree in a nursing program.
2 years of nursing experience required.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum work unit efficiency.
Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
Computer skills required.
Current RN licensure by applicable state requirements.
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Nice To Haves

ENT and TL experience preferred.
Prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in work unit specialty area preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

Acts as a formal and informal leader on the unit.
Participates and collaborates with management staff to assist with the daily planning and coordination of the assigned work unit.
Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and availability of resources.
Provides leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, precepting, committee work, quality improvements and participation in evidence-based practice and research.
Accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
Supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
Functions within the Mayo Nursing Care Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
Supports daily operations, mentors staff, and fosters a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Guides patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, delivering compassionate care while navigating highly specialized clinical pathways.
Expands leadership skills while working alongside a multidisciplinary team at the forefront of Mayo Clinic’s ENT practice.
