About The Position

The RN Team Leader acts as a formal and informal leader on the unit. The TL participates and collaborates with the management staff to assist with the daily planning and coordination of the assigned work unit. The TL delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and availability of resources. The Team Leader provides leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, precepting, committee work, quality improvements and participation in evidence-based practice and research. The TL is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The TL supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The TL will function within the Mayo Nursing Care Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Ambulatory ENT (Otolaryngology) Team Lead Nursing Role Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Ambulatory ENT practice is a highly specialized surgical and procedural department focused on comprehensive care across: Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) Head and Neck Surgery Facial Plastics Audiology Speech Language Pathology This dynamic clinic supports a wide range of complex patient needs, from routine ENT concerns to advanced surgical care and in-clinic procedures. Our practice currently includes 36 clinic rooms and a dedicated procedural (C-op) space to support more advanced in-office interventions. We are in an exciting period of growth and transformation, making this an ideal time to join a team that is actively shaping the future of ambulatory specialty care. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
