About The Position
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Surgical units across multiple hours and shifts. We focus on supporting our colleagues, allowing our Surgical Registered Nurses to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. We offer clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as you complete your Surgical Nurse Residency. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN/BSN
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred, however Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices.
- Complete Surgical Nurse Residency.
