About The Position
MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Surgical units across multiple hours and shifts. At MidState Medical Center we don’t just take great care of our patients; we take great care of our Registered Nurses too. Our Surgical Registered Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices. We offer our Registered Nurses clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as you complete your Surgical Nurse Residency. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply to the Surgical department.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred
- Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply
- Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply to the Surgical department.
Responsibilities
- Practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices.
- Complete Surgical Nurse Residency, including clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities.
