About The Position
A leading acute care facility is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Surgical Unit team for a 13-week assignment. The RN will provide high-quality care to adult post-surgical patients during night shifts while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Unit or Medical-Surgical experience
- Recent experience caring for post-operative surgical patients required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS certification required

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to post-surgical and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and recovery progress
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
- Accurately assess, document, and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient condition or emergencies
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control procedures
