The position also involves teaching and mentoring other healthcare professionals, including new employees and students, and actively participating in unit quality initiatives. A key aspect of the role is managing the critical care of patients with hemodynamic and respiratory instability, including mechanical ventilation, and accurately administering high-risk medications. The nurse is expected to incorporate evidence-based practice and promote a compassionate, therapeutic environment.
