Registered Nurse (RN, GN) - Surgical Cardiology
About The Position
Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for its Cardiology units, offering multiple hours and shifts. This is an exciting specialty that provides valuable skills applicable across a nursing career. The role involves both surgical and medical interventions, offering diverse learning experiences and career opportunities. No prior cardiac experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn and provide excellent patient care. The team is supportive, with experienced managers, clinical ladders, and continuing education opportunities. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for RNs with at least one year of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. Registered Nurses in Cardiology have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, utilizing research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. A comprehensive Nurse Residency program is offered.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred
