About The Position

Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for its Cardiology units, offering multiple shifts and hours. This exciting specialty provides skills transferable across a career, involving both surgical and medical interventions for diverse learning experiences and opportunities. No prior cardiac experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn and provide excellent patient care. The supportive team includes experienced managers, clinical ladders, and continuing education. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for RNs with at least one year of acute care hospital experience. Registered Nurses in Cardiology can practice at the top of their license, utilizing research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. A comprehensive Nurse Residency is offered, and student nurses and recent graduate nurses are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred, however Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply
