About The Position

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor in our facility, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care. This role will provide oversight on the 3:00 pm -11:00 pm shift on Monday and Fridays. If hired, you will be responsible for assessing resident health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate resident records. Your role will involve direct resident care, including wound management, and providing education to residents and their families to promote health and wellness. You will advocate for residents' rights and well-being, ensuring they receive compassionate and comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to improved patient outcomes and the overall effectiveness of our nursing services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the New York.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor's degree in nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience in medical/surgical nursing and direct resident care.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Direct patient care and wound care are essential for daily nursing tasks, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment.
  • Resident education skills enable you to communicate complex medical information clearly, empowering patients to manage their health confidently.
  • Resident advocacy ensures that you prioritize resident rights and preferences, fostering trust and ethical care delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care procedures.
  • Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote recovery and prevent complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurse practitioners and physicians, to develop and update individualized care plans.
  • Advocate for residents' needs and preferences, ensuring ethical and patient-centered care is delivered at all times.
