Requirements

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to nurses and oversee daily treatments and care activities
  • Assign personnel, maintain care hours, and review attendance for precision
  • Review documentation, care plans, and assessments for accuracy and compliance
  • Evaluate health service data, identify hazards, and recommend improvements
  • Conduct interviews, evaluate performance, resolve issues, and support staff training
  • Assess serious incidents and submit required reports according to regulations
