Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support nurses during daily care, treatments, and medication delivery
• Monitor resident conditions, review documentation, and ensure accurate medical record entries
• Assign personnel, maintain required nursing care hours, and review attendance for accuracy
• Evaluate care plans, support interdisciplinary reviews, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Identify health and safety risks and take corrective actions to protect residents and staff
• Plan and evaluate work, mentor employees, address concerns, and support ongoing training needs
