About The Position

This role gives you the opportunity to lead dedicated staff who support the health and comfort of residents at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. You will help manage daily care, uphold high standards, and ensure residents receive the attention they deserve. This position allows you to strengthen both leadership skills and quality of care in a meaningful environment.

Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mentor nurses in daily treatments, observations, and resident care activities
• Assign personnel, review time records, and maintain required nursing care hours
• Check documentation, care plans, and assessments for accuracy and compliance
• Evaluate data, identify safety concerns, and recommend improvements to procedures
• Interview, coach, evaluate, and support staff to meet facility expectations
