Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care and treatment services
• Support communication between shifts to maintain continuity and a safe environment
• Guide staff in identifying and assessing physical, psychosocial, and mental health needs
• Provide orientation, education, and coaching to nursing department personnel
• Monitor care practices, review documentation, and help ensure adherence to nursing standards
• Work with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support consistent and effective care
