This is a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor position on the Med/Tele unit at Atrium Health Stanly, working the night shift. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The supervisor will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position also requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking necessary actions. Medication administration, treatment, and therapy may be administered safely and according to protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role demands pursuit of professional development, completion of required education, and maintenance of certifications, adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practicing ethical decision-making. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and unlicensed personnel is expected, along with accurate and timely EHR documentation. The nurse supervisor may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The position requires demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, understanding principles of growth and development, and assessing data reflective of patient status to identify and meet age-specific needs.
