About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief and/or Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the RN House Supervisor provides oversight of facility patient care functions on a designated shift. Provides direction, counsel and support for patient care and staffing concerns. Collaborates with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide, promote, maintain and evaluate quality patient continuum of care. Coordinates patient placement and supervises professional and support staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Mississippi RN licensure is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, SAMA certifications are required.
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • Standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret physicians’ instructions.
  • Use and operation of equipment and instruments used in patient care.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to educate patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Supervisory and/or management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Critical care, emergency, and/or case management experience is preferred.
  • Other unit specific nursing certifications may be required as they pertain to the unit or area of specialty (e.g. TNCC).
