About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief and/or Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the RN House Supervisor provides oversight of facility patient care functions on a designated shift. Provides direction, counsel and support for patient care and staffing concerns. Collaborates with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide, promote, maintain and evaluate quality patient continuum of care. Coordinates patient placement and supervises professional and support staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current Mississippi RN licensure
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • SAMA certification
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience
  • Standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to interpret physicians’ instructions
  • Use and operation of equipment and instruments used in patient care
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to educate patients

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Other unit specific nursing certifications may be required as they pertain to the unit or area of specialty (e.g. TNCC)
  • Supervisory and/or management experience
  • Critical care, emergency, and/or case management experience
