The Registered Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for the direct provision of patient care and will assist the manager with daily operations. This includes coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. The role also involves maintaining clinical and professional competency appropriate to the patient population served. The position is located in the LCH 7S Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, a level IV NICU with 53 licensed beds, serving as the referral center for the region and caring for the most acutely ill and vulnerable newborns. Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC, with 247 beds, and is part of the innovative Atrium Health system. LCH offers a full complement of pediatric subspecialists, a PICU, Cardiac ICU, and is Charlotte’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
