Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Guide nurses in daily treatments, care activities, and medication administration.
• Observe resident conditions, ensure timely reporting of changes, and review documentation for accuracy.
• Assign tasks, determine priorities, and evaluate employee performance.
• Investigate resident and employee concerns and identify needed follow-up actions.
• Identify health and safety risks and take corrective measures to maintain a secure environment.
• Plan and direct the delivery of health services to support resident well-being and quality of life.
