About The Position

Located on the fifth floor of the Tower at Freeman Hospital West, the Stroke Unit is a multi-faceted floor offering the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills. It is a 29-bed, Level II Stroke Center with state-of-the-art equipment and monitoring. Our family culture is based on teamwork, professionalism and lifelong learning.

Requirements

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
