About The Position
RN-Medical step down unit, 6-20 beds, ratio: 1 to 4 patients. Conditions treated include Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney disease, TDM2, Substance abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy. Possible float to all IMCU units (5J and 12A most common).
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients on a medical step-down unit.
- Manage a patient load of 1 to 4 patients.
- Care for patients with conditions such as Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney disease, TDM2, Substance abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy.
- Float to other IMCU units (5J and 12A) as needed.
