About The Position

Valley Hospital Medical Center, a 306-bed acute care facility located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit). Since 1972, Valley Hospital has been dedicated to providing quality patient care, utilizing evidence-based medicine and clinical pathways. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Completion of a Specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
  • One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
  • Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Apply the concepts of Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing care.
  • Oversee and guide employees under his/her supervision.
