About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will bring their passion to Texas Health to be Better + Together. This full-time, 36-hour per week position is located at Texas Health Frisco, a 93-bed acute-care hospital in the North DFW area. The PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) is a fast-paced, high-volume department with a robust Unit Based Council and engaged leadership. The professional nurse will exhibit an understanding of basic human needs and demonstrate recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
RN PACU experience highly preferred
In lieu of PACU experience, two years of ICU experience as a RN strongly preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
