About The Position

Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) – PACU Main. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033. Work hours: Full Time – 36 Hours; Days; Three 12-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts per week. Scheduled shifts may be 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM, including on-call requirements. PACU highlights: Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Fast-Paced, high-volume department. The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
RN PACU experience highly preferred
In lieu of PACU experience, two years of ICU experience as a RN strongly preferred
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
