Registered Nurse (RN)-Emergency Department
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin Emergency Center has 22 beds with surge capacity and Emergency Cardiac Care Center and Remote Stroke Certifications. The team cares for traumatic injuries, acute and chronic illnesses, psychiatric conditions, and other conditions. A robust orientation is tailored to support the nurse’s success. Nursing staff are provided with CPI, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
