Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Services
About The Position
The RN Clinical Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. The nurse is accountable for compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy, and collaborates with the care team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes. The role also promotes innovation, growth, and professional development in nursing practice. This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position scheduled for 24 hours per week on the NOC shift, 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The schedule includes every third weekend and a holiday rotation. New graduates are welcome. The position is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Ability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and relevant competencies to assess patients’ physical condition and nursing needs, and develop plans of care with patients and the interprofessional team.
- Plan for patient care needs in collaboration with the interprofessional team to support high-quality care and clinical outcomes.
- Provide age-appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific professional nursing care within the assigned clinical specialty.
- Identify ways to improve the patient experience, streamline care processes, lower costs, and promote quality and satisfaction among patients, families, and team members.
- Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.
- Consult with physicians and other interprofessional team members, maintain positive relationships, and collaborate to solve problems and improve patient care.
- Anticipate and proactively manage risks to prevent crises.
- Perform skillfully during life-threatening emergencies, matching demands and resources during crisis situations.
