About The Position

Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care to an assigned group of patients, matching patient needs with the nurse’s competencies. The nurse completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Possess a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire through ARC or AHA; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• For adult critical care, telemetry, and interim critical care units: complete AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role, preferably before the end of the orientation period.
• For the pediatric ICU: complete AHA PALS within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role, preferably before the end of the orientation period.
• For the NICU: complete AHA NRP within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• For the NICU Level 2 Nursery: provide proof of prior S.T.A.B.L.E. completion or obtain it within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit; renewal is not required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two years of experience in acute care.
• Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU.
