About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to provide in-home care to patients. This role offers an independent, flexible work environment and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while providing holistic support beyond patients’ medical needs. Nurses coordinate schedules directly with patients according to the plan of care, approved hours, and patient preferences. The position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role and pays $30.00–$38.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid and active RN license in the state of practice.
Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Professional liability coverage is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with an empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and support personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate and coordinate with Case Managers, physicians, and specialists.
Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
