About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join its team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Shawnee, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. The RN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one required.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
