Registered Nurse (RN) / Cardiac Telemetry
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department's scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. This position is in the Cardiac Tele Unit (CTU) at Upper Valley Medical Center. It is full-time, working 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with 72 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
