Registered Nurse RN- WEEKENDS
About The Position
This is a WEEKEND ONLY position for a Registered Nurse (RN) working from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. The role involves evaluating assigned patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. The RN will deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns. Responsibilities include performing various patient tests, administering medications within the scope of practice, and promoting patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The unit is the R3E Med/Surg Unit, a 42-bed Adult Med/Surg unit caring for adult and geriatric medical patients. This unit collaborates closely with Hospitalist physicians and the Hildreth Teaching Service Residents. Patients are commonly admitted for various medical diagnoses including infections, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, gastrointestinal complications, substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic complications.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Must have RN experience.
- PA Registered Nurse License
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
