About The Position

Valley View Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for Women's Services on a night schedule of three 12-hour shifts (6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends. The RN performs nursing interventions and treatments, administers medications, collects specimens, monitors and documents patient care, and communicates with the care team, physicians, patients, and families. The role also includes assisting with daily living activities, coordinating care across disciplines, providing patient and family education, advocating for patients' physical and emotional well-being, and participating in performance improvement and continuing education.

The position is based in a smaller hospital setting that emphasizes collaboration, respect, shared ownership, and a family-like team culture. Self-scheduling provides added flexibility. Valley View Medical Center is a 102,000-square-foot acute-care facility serving the Bullhead City, Laughlin, and Needles area.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care, monitor patient condition, and communicate with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
