About The Position

The Inpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse delivers exceptional nursing care to patients at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. The role uses organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, apply a diverse medical skillset, develop and perform patient care plans to improve outcomes, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

This is a day-shift position scheduled for 32 hours per week, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position does not require holiday work.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited associate or bachelor's degree program in nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Recent RN experience in acute care and wound care.
• At least one year as a nurse to qualify.
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN Wound or WWC Wound Care Certification) is required within three years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of wound care experience as a Registered Nurse.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting, and assess patient condition.
• Assess, stage, photograph, and measure wounds accurately and in accordance with policy.
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with the State of Practice and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
