About The Position

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to positively impact patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice, using the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload within the department’s scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. This position is in the Inpatient Trauma Unit at Miami Valley Hospital. It is full-time, working 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for 72 hours per pay period. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Valid Ohio RN license.
Current CPR certification required at the time of hire.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
Strong organization skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
No prior job-related work experience required.
