About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment throughout patients’ recovery. This is a full-time night-shift position with 12-hour shifts in Des Moines, Iowa. Compensation is $37.00–$49.80, plus night and weekend shift differentials, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. New graduates are welcome to apply. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
