Every employee is a Shepherd. Above all else, Shepherds are stewards of the people and resources entrusted to them. Shepherds feed and care for all people consistent with the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control). Our supreme example of a Shepherd is "The Good Shepherd", Jesus Christ. The RN follows Physician orders and communicates accurate assessment data to maintain quality of care. They record a patient’s medical history accurately, monitor/document patients’ change of condition, and notify the Physician and supervisor. The RN administers injections, prescribed medications, enemas, cleans and dresses wounds, and assists with other basic medical care tasks. They provide monitoring/training of staff to maintain quality of care for ALL residents and communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions. Nurses get to utilize many different clinical skills because we service geriatric patients who have needs of wound care, infection control management, IV’s, wound vacs, gastrostomy tubes, medication management, and more!
