About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center is looking for Per Diem RNs. This is a part-time role requiring (4) 12-hour shifts per month. Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been serving individuals struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues for over 35 years. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as an inpatient psychiatric program for adolescents. We also operate two outpatient substance use disorder offices. Our mission is to provide high-quality behavioral health services with a focus on service excellence, respect, ethical standards, integrity, compassion, and teamwork. The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care on our Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit, prescribing, coordinating, and delegating nursing care. This role involves completing nursing assessments, documenting patient care and progress, facilitating medication administration with patient education, responding to crisis/emergency events, attending Treatment Team meetings to aid in patient care plan development, and overseeing mental health technicians. The RN is accountable for assigned nursing care activities and promoting professional nursing practice under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON, and may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities.

Requirements

Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
Completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift.
Facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
Responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans.
Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities.
Is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
May also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
