About The Position

Guardian Angel Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to provide private duty nursing care to a ventilator-dependent patient in the patient’s home in Commerce, Michigan. The role provides one-on-one skilled nursing care during a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM overnight shift. The nurse will use strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and independence while following physician orders, agency policies, and the patient’s individualized Plan of Care. The home has cats and dogs.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Comfort working in a home with cats and dogs.
• Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Ventilator experience preferred.
• Private duty, home care, ICU, or respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care during the assigned shift.
• Monitor the patient’s condition and appropriately report changes.
• Manage ventilator care and related skilled nursing needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assist with patient safety, comfort, and daily care needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Communicate with the care team, family, and clinical leadership as needed.
• Follow agency policies, physician orders, and the patient’s individualized Plan of Care.
