About The Position

Atlantic Specialty Care, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Atlantic, Iowa, is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts. The RN provides compassionate direct nursing care to residents and supports clinical operations, resident safety, and quality of care in a skilled nursing environment. The role works collaboratively with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members, and communicates with residents and families about care needs.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing that is valid in Iowa or can be activated in Iowa.
• Hold current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treating people with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
