About The Position

Atrium Health Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation Pediatric Infusion Center is located in the Medical Center Plaza building in Charlotte, NC. In the infusion center we administer chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, IVIG, biologic therapies, enzyme replacement treatments, and supportive care such as IV hydration, antibiotics, and iron infusions, supporting patients across specialties including hematology/oncology, immunology, gastroenterology, neurology, and rheumatology. This infusion center also has a procedural suite in which we complete lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirations, and sedated IUD placement. We are committed to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and improving outcomes for the patients and families we serve. The infusion center is open 7 days a week from 0800-1800. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. Ideal candidates demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence, nursing excellence, and adaptability, with a passion for making a meaningful impact within our organization and in the lives of patients and families.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Current certification in BLS required; PALS to be obtained after hire
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Proficiency in IV and central line access and management preferred
  • APHON chemotherapy/biotherapy provider status prior to or obtained after hire
  • CPHON certification preferred

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
