About The Position

Provide professional nursing care through the nursing process. Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Comply with all policies and procedures, nursing standards of practice, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program at an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. Grandfathered educational exemptions apply to those hired on or before the listed dates for IMC, IMCW, or IMCM.
Current licensure with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as required by law.
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
American Heart Association ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Critical Care Course required within six months of hire.
Dysrhythmia course required within three months of hire.
One year of clinical experience in the specialty area is required for per diem positions.

Nice To Haves

BSN or MSN graduates preferred.
Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
Recent experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or a neuro ICU setting managing complex patient populations preferred.
National certification in the specialty area preferred, such as Certified Critical Care RN or Certified Neurology RN.
Two years of clinical experience in the specialty area preferred for per diem positions.
