About The Position

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and engaging environment on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Wichita, KS. The unit has 14 beds and a patient ratio of 4:1. The RN will utilize equipment such as chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains, and will use the Meditech EMR system. The ideal candidate will possess a positive, patient-centered attitude, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player. Candidates will benefit from exposure to new equipment and technology, and the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated, experienced team of professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medication drips
• Knowledge of central lines
• Knowledge of catch recovery

Responsibilities

• Work on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Manage patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio.
• Utilize equipment such as chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains.
• Use the Meditech EMR system.
• Be available to work every other weekend.
• Float to other units as needed.
