Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho-Urology
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works on 6 North Ortho-Urology, a 36-bed medical-surgical unit at High Point Medical Center. The unit cares for adults ages 18 to 100+ with a variety of diagnoses, including general, urology, and GI surgery; wound care and management; traumatic injuries; and inpatient medicine. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create a safe patient environment and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is full-time, with three 12-hour shifts each week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and a weekend rotation. The stated pay range is $38.20–$57.30.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- More than 1 year of RN experience is required.
