About The Position

Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to provide services at a facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidates will provide nursing care at the facility while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Active and valid Texas RN license.
  • BLS (AHA or ARC)
  • Ability to work in a correctional facility environment with diverse patient populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of six months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including recording patient history, taking vital signs, assisting clinicians, and supporting routine clinical activities.
  • Perform nursing duties including drawing blood, administering medications and vaccinations, and performing point-of-care tests.
  • Operate medical equipment such as EKG machines, cardiac monitors, glucometers, and thermometers.
  • Support patient flow in Specialty Care, Ambulatory, Telemedicine, and Mental Health units.
  • Assist in urgent care and emergency situations, triage patients, and follow standing orders.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in the Bureau Electronic Medical Records (BEMR) system.
  • Implement infection control protocols and maintain patient safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks including scheduling, recordkeeping, and coordinating appointments.
  • Ensure compliance with all institutional security and operational policies.
  • Maintain professional attire and adhere to correctional facility safety guidelines.
  • Perform nursing duties within the scope of the current licensure.
