About The Position

Inova Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable and challenging moments. The role is based in Alexandria, Virginia, and is full-time night work. Compensation is $46.41–$62.50 per hour, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
